So, here's the thing.. I work in Reston so after I read this post, I decided to do a re-visit to Edibles Incredible. I've had them a few times in the past but it's been at least a year since I've been back. The fudge was always good but I never cared for the cake slices. The frosting was cloying and the cakes themselves seemed to have been in those cases too long. But I was inspired by the post plus craving something sweet, so what the hell? So, there's now this large variety of cupcakes which take over the top shelves in both cases plus a huge new box had just been delivered. The nice guy on duty was kind enough to describe the various flavors. I got four -- Lemon Luscious, S'Mores, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and an Elvis cupcake. I split them up on a plate and my 12 year old and I did a taste test. They were actually pretty good and quite large (compared to Georgetown Cupcake). Each had a filling (lemon curd, peanut butter, or marshmallow) and alot of frosting. I didn't care for the peanut butter filling so much in the Elvis but the cake was very good. It had just a hint of spice. So, overall, looks like I'll be back since it's just a quick lunch trip. Thanks for the reintroduction. :)
